Kennaway Ward is an 11-bed, predominantly male ward dealing with chemotherapy and radiotherapy for head and neck, urological, gastrointestinal and lung cancers, neuro-oncology, and care for patients undergoing minor sarcoma surgery.
Every March and September, The Royal Marsden is assessed against the BS EN ISO 9001:2008 quality standard for radiotherapy and chemotherapy services by an external assessor from the British Standards Institution (BSI).
There may be times during your cancer treatment when you are unable to eat well. Losing weight or having a reduced food intake can make it more difficult for you to cope with treatments like surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.
The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, along with its academic partner The Institute of Cancer Research, London, will play a key role in pioneering the next generation of radiotherapy treatment.
