As part of this programme of work, The Royal Marsden has been exploring the possibility of partnering with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

We’re delighted to announce that the DHR business case has now been approved by the Board. The programme is due to begin in August this year, with the new Epic system going live across the Trust in March 2023. With the support of GOSH, who launched their DHR two years ago, we will jointly ensure that both Trusts are able to have a world-class DHR which supports the delivery of safe and high-quality care, and is a vital platform for ground-breaking research, innovation and education.

The partnership with GOSH will bring substantial benefits to both Trusts. For The Royal Marsden, it will give us the opportunity to harness the digital excellence, technologies and learning that GOSH have achieved through their clinically led implementation of DHR in 2019. For GOSH, working in partnership with us on all future developments to the system means they will be able to do more, at a faster rate and reduced cost, and by sharing skills and expertise across organisations we will both maximise the benefits of the DHR for staff and patients.
