The Royal Marsden Facilities and services

Comfort, space and privacy

Take a look inside the newly refurbished private patient areas at The Royal Marsden in Sutton

Robert Tiffany Ward

At The Royal Marsden, we are always striving to improve the service we provide for our private patients. That’s why we’ve upgraded two key areas of the Sutton hospital: Robert Tiffany Ward, our dedicated private care ward, and our exclusive patient accommodation in Compton House.

Accommodating 13 patients in spacious single rooms that offer comfort and privacy, Robert Tiffany Ward now matches the modern standards of Granard House, our private ward in Chelsea. The ward’s redecoration, new flooring and furniture and refurbished en-suite bathrooms have resulted in a brighter, safer environment for patients and staff.

The refurbishment ensures the very best experience for our patients during their treatment. Robert Tiffany Ward is of a high clinical standard yet has a calm atmosphere, which can aid patient recovery

Helen McCafferty and Catriona Cockburn Private Care Matrons

In Compton House, our accommodation for private patients and their relatives has also been revamped, thanks to a generous donation from supporters of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. This bright, comfortable and spacious flat helps to remove the stress of patients and relatives having to find somewhere to stay at an already difficult time in their lives.

These updated facilities enhance our private service in Sutton, which also includes a dedicated Private Outpatient department and the Private Patient Medical Day Unit.
