Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre

The Royal Marsden is part of the Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre (AHSC).

The Imperial College AHSC is a collaboration between The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, Imperial College London, Royal Brompton and Harefield NHS Foundation Trust and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust.

The partnership's mission is to advance medicine and improve quality of life for NHS patients, and patients around the world. The AHSC aims to take the discoveries made through research and put them into practice in healthcare as quickly as possible by introducing new therapies and techniques.

The AHSC was formed in 2007 and brings together 21,500 clinicians and other NHS staff. It was the first AHSC in the UK, with The Royal Marsden joining in 2016.

The AHSC works closely with Imperial College Health Partners, which brings together the academic and health science communities across North West London.
