Kennaway Ward is an 11-bed, predominantly male ward dealing with chemotherapy and radiotherapy for head and neck, urological, gastrointestinal and lung cancers, neuro-oncology, and care for patients undergoing minor sarcoma surgery.
Within the ward there is a busy day unit with five chairs, where patients receive chemotherapy and supportive treatments throughout the day.

Kennaway Ward is located on the third floor in East Wing at The Royal Marsden’s Sutton hospital.

Visitors are welcome on the ward at any time apart from 12.30pm to 2pm while patients have lunch.
Facilities on Kennaway Ward
There is a comfortable day room on the ward for patients and visitors to use.
We do not have toilet facilities for visitors on the ward. The nearest toilet is on the ground floor.

Kennaway Ward staff
There is a variety of consultant-led teams that work on Kennaway Ward. These include the senior and junior registrar and the senior house officer (SHO).
The nursing team is made up of the ward sister, Maria Law, supported by the junior ward sister, senior staff nurses, staff nurses and healthcare assistants. The ward is overseen by the matron, Ann Duncan.
The support staff includes the ward clerk, housekeeper, domestic and catering services.
We aim to provide a high standard of care to our patients throughout their journey as we work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the extensive range of services available are used appropriately and effectively.
The matron for Kennaway Ward is Ann Duncan and the sister is Maria Law.
