Biography

David Cunningham MD FRCP FMedSci OBE is a Consultant Medical Oncologist, Head of the Gastrointestinal and Lymphoma Unit and Director of Clinical Research at The Royal Marsden in London and Surrey in addition to Director of the NIHR Biomedical Research Centre at The Royal Marsden and The Institute of Cancer Research. He has conducted multiple early phase and phase III randomised trials in the field of gastrointestinal oncology and lymphoma and is currently pursuing the development of targeted agents and immunotherapy for the treatment of these diseases.

Professor David Cunningham was awarded an OBE in the 2019 New Year Honours for services to cancer treatment and research.
