Biography

Dr Hacking is a Consultant Anaesthetist and spent nine years as an Intensivist in the Critical Care Unit, before being made Clinical Lead for Anaesthesia from 2011 to 2018 at The Royal Marsden.

He qualified from The London Hospital Medical College in 1993, having left Eton College in 1987. He subsequently trained in the Imperial School of Anaesthesia before being appointed as a Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at The Royal Marsden in 2002.

His areas of interest include anaesthesia for upper GI cancer, gynae-oncology cancer, plastic surgery and has extensive experience in anaesthesia for robotic surgery. He has a special interest in the treatment of patients with high BMI and complex co-morbidities.
