Biography

Dr Jaishree Bhosle is a Consultant Medical Oncologist specialising in the treatment of thoracic cancers including lung cancer and mesothelioma.

Dr Bhosle qualified from the University of Leicester and undertook her general medical training at University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust. She undertook laboratory-based research at University College London and was awarded a PhD in 2012. Her research focused on the modulation of DNA damage and repair by epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors.

Dr Bhosle completed her specialist training at The Royal Marsden and was appointed as a Consultant Medical Oncologist in 2011. In addition to her role at The Royal Marsden, she is the lead for malignancy of undefined origin and lung cancer at Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals.

Her research interests are in the diagnosis of cancer, especially in those patients who present as an emergency, and the combination of molecular targeted agents with chemotherapy.
