Dr Angela Riddell trained in radiology in Oxford before undertaking a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging in Toronto, Canada. She joined The Royal Marsden in 2004 as a Research Fellow and was awarded an MD in 2007 for her research in the development of MR imaging for oesophageal cancer staging.
Her main research interest is in MRI and its use in oesophageal cancer and liver disease, but she is also involved with projects using functional MRI in head and neck cancer for radiotherapy planning purposes.
She became a Consultant Radiologist in 2008 and is a core member of the multidisciplinary teams for upper gastrointestinal cancers, lung cancer, haemato-oncology, melanoma and skin cancer.
