The RDAC is designed for patients with suspected cancer to ensure they receive the very best diagnostic tests and care without delay.
At the RDAC we run one-stop, new-patient assessment clinics for breast, prostate and skin cancer. Most patients get their results or a form of diagnosis on the same day as their tests. All patients are seen within two weeks of referral.
- Rapid diagnostic services
- Breast, prostate and skin cancer
- Family history genetic screening.
A series of tests are performed at the RDAC, including diagnostic imaging (mammogram, ultrasound), tissue sampling and biopsies.
All clinics are run by dedicated staff including consultant surgeons and oncologists, radiologists, radiographers, nurses, histopathologists and clerical staff.
Genetic screening for cancer and family history screening also take place at the RDAC. Find out more.
Nursing at the RDAC
Highly skilled oncology nurses guide the patient through their tests and assessments. They work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide quality support and information.
Supporters of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity contributed £6 million to the cost of the RDAC.
