Dr Wong is a Consultant Clinical Oncologist at The Royal Marsden specialising in radiotherapy and systemic treatment for head and neck and thyroid cancers.
He graduated from the University of Manchester in 2006 and completed his core medical training in the North West. His specialist clinical oncology training was completed at The Royal Marsden and St Luke’s Cancer Centre.
Between 2014 and 2016, he undertook a two-year clinical research fellowship with the head and neck unit at the Royal Marsden/ICR, and was subsequently awarded an MD (Res). His research interest includes the application of functional imaging parameters (PET and MRI) as predictive and prognostic biomarkers to guide treatment individualisation in head and neck cancers. During his research fellowship, he contributed to 16 publications in peer-reviewed journals and two book chapters.
Following completion of training, Dr Wong was a consultant clinical oncologist specialising in head & neck, thyroid and lung cancers at Mount Vernon Cancer Centre for 2 years before joining the Royal Marsden in 2019.
