On this page you can find details of our Governor elections
Our Governors play an important role in the governance framework of The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust by attending quarterly Council of Governor meetings and the Annual General Meeting, in which they discuss key issues as well as the strategic direction of the organisation while representing the views of their members.
Governor elections are held where members can stand for election /and vote for the member they would like to join the Council of Governor as their Patient/Carer/Public/Staff representative.
When a vacancy arises on the Council of Governors all members within that constituency are written to advising them an election will be held and inviting them to stand/and vote. You do not need any specific qualifications to become a Governor – all successful candidates will be provided with relevant training, development and support to carry out the role effectively.
To find out more about the role, download the document below Being a Governor or contact Rebecca Hudson, Member and Governor Lead, on 020 7808 2844 or email Rebecca.Hudson@rmh.nhs.uk
