Support during COVID-19

Referrals

We want to reassure our patients, their families and anyone worried about cancer during this difficult time that we are still delivering cancer treatment - the hospitals are open. We are taking referrals and putting measures in place to ensure patients are seen quickly via remote consultations and physical appointments whilst respecting social distancing. Please see more information here about how we are keeping everyone safe.

Video consultations

The Royal Marsden Private Care Team are now offering video consultations as well as physical appointments to help support your treatment. Visit our video consultation page or speak to your healthcare advisor for more information.

Safety at the hospital

The safety of our patients and staff is of utmost importance to us. As mentioned, measures have been put in place to limit the amount of people in each hospital. Social distancing guidance is followed in all communal areas, for example using screens at reception, clear floor markings and having limited numbers of people in waiting rooms. Appointments are spread out to help facilitate this, including during evenings and at weekends. We have put in place strict infection control, regular staff testing and an enhanced pre-assessment of patients. Full PPE is used as needed.

If you have any concerns at all, please speak to your Royal Marsden healthcare professional.
