Fraudulent emails alert
10 August 2007
We have been alerted to a number of emails alleging to be from patients at the Royal Marsden Cancer Centre (sic) and The Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust.
One email, purportedly from Melissa A Kim, asks the reader to contact Dr. Scott on how to channel some funds to charity.
The other is from a Mrs Rose Smith looking to pass on funds from an inheritance. A clear indication of an advanced fee fraud attempt.
We would like to make it clear that these emails have nothing to do with The Royal Marsden Hospital nor with its charity, The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign.
We would never solicit donations in this way and advise recipients of such emails to delete it.
