ScaNaR
ScaNaR is an online learning environment which allows students to remotely access our learning resources, participate in activities and communicate and interact with teaching staff and fellow students. Resources available through ScaNaR include e-books, lecture hand-outs and other materials.
The site is fully interactive, and as a new student you will be encouraged to first build your own personal profile on the site and then to participate in discussion forums and communicate with lecturers and fellow students on any topic related to your studies.
A major benefit of the site is that it allows students to keep in touch, support each other and share knowledge in between the blocks of study undertaken in the classroom.
Help and support
We are aware that each of you will have different levels of familiarity with using on-line resources, so we have developed a step-by-step guide for new students, written in plain English. This ensures that using ScaNaR is straightforward. In addition to a comprehensive online ‘help’ facility, our dedicated VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) administrator is also available to assist you.
