The David Adams Library

All of our students benefit from access to the David Adams Library. Based in Chelsea, the library contains a comprehensive range of books and journals specific to our programmes and courses. As well as an electronic learning centre with online access to the major textbooks used by students, there is also a quiet study area.
The David Adams Library is a specialist library, and our dedicated team ensures that the library resources are kept up to date, and that it meets our students’ specific needs. Some of the cancer journals and books in our library are not available elsewhere in the UK.
Additional resources
In addition to the books and journals at the David Adams Library itself, students also enjoy access to the resources of the libraries of The Institute of Cancer Research.
Should you need additional library resources – perhaps outside the field of cancer care – our relationship with St George’s, University of London, means that access to their wealth of electronic journals is also available. You can also join their library if you wish.
Help and support
Our library team is committed to ensuring that you get the most out of the library. Each new student is given an induction on how best to use the resources available. Additional hands-on training is available to show you how to access specific databases, as and when required.
