Treatment
Your treatment will be planned by a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals with different areas of expertise.
Some types of cancer can be treated with surgery. If surgery is part of your treatment you will be admitted to hospital.
If you need chemotherapy, you will receive it either in one of the day care units or you may need inpatient care.
Radiotherapy is generally given as an outpatient treatment.
Radioisotope therapy uses drugs to deliver therapeutic levels of radiation to disease sites.
