Robert Tiffany is a general oncology and haemato-oncology unit, specialising in a diverse variety of cancers and treatments. We offer high-quality care, individually tailored to the needs of our patients. We care for patients undergoing chemotherapy, surgery and radiotherapy as well as offering supportive care during treatment, symptom control and palliative care as needed.
We work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure that each patient has continuity of care and appropriate access to services and specialists.
Nursing on Robert Tiffany
Our experienced nurses bring a wide variety of skills to the unit. This enables us to maintain a high standard of evidence-based care to a diverse patient population. With patients receiving many of the latest treatments available, our nurses are up to date with all the latest innovations in treatment.
Robert Tiffany offers a challenging and varied experience of cancer nursing with a wide variety of learning opportunities. It allows staff to work in all three areas of the unit, enabling staff to gain experience of caring for patients from their initial consultation and diagnosis and throughout their treatment. This is a rewarding experience and offers excellent continuity for both patients and nurses.
All our staff are encouraged to develop clinical skills such as venepuncture and cannulation, and are supported and encouraged to attend educational programmes. The nursing team offer a friendly and supportive environment in which to learn and develop as a cancer nurse.
