Nursing on Kennaway Ward

We offer a challenging and stimulating environment where you can further your knowledge and develop new skills, whatever your previous experience. We provide a structured orientation programme tailored to meet each individual’s needs. The team has four senior staff nurses who are trained in oncology and will supervise your development. There is also an opportunity to work with and learn from clinical nurse specialists and research nurses within the ward area.

We aim to provide a high standard of care to our patients as we work closely with all members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that the extensive range of services available are used appropriately and effectively.

Shift patterns on the ward consist of long days and a minimum of four nights per month.
