Equality analysis

We look at the potential and actual impact that our policies, services and processes have on people who share a protected characteristic and those who don’t. We do this to eliminate discrimination, promote equality of employment and service opportunity and to foster good relations between people who share a protected characteristic and those who don’t. The process we use to do this is called an Equality Impact Assessment (EIA).

Our process has two stages: a screening stage and a full assessment stage. All the different protected diversity strands are covered under our EIA process.

The findings from the EIAs are reported and monitored through the Equality and Diversity Committee and the Equality and Diversity Operational Group.

Summaries of these findings are available to download here. For more information please contact us by emailing diversity@rmh.nhs.uk.
